Family Stories and Poems

mosquito poem

The tip-toeing mosquito
Skips around the wall
Playing ‘round the light globe
Looking frail and small

Can I believe you bite me,
While I lie in my bed,
Nipping on my arms and legs
Until you turn them red?

Don’t you worry mozzie,
I can win this fight.
Armed with squatter in my hand
I’ll rid you in one swipe.

So as I calmly watch you
Fly this way and that.
I’ll raise up high my well-aimed arm
Then, Bye-Bye mozzie…
SPLAT!
