Holiday Time
Hello boys and girls of March 2011. What a year so far!In Australia we have had devasting rainstorms; in Hawaii a terrible volcanic eruption and in Japan, well, what's happening over there is just too terrible to contemplate. That's not a great way so start off on a website that is called 'POSITIVE famiy initiative' is it? But there is something that we can all take away from this. There is always someone worse off than you. That's not very comforting I know, but it is enough for you to realise that if the people in these areas of devastation can get through the day with all of the havoc surrounding them, having been stipped of their daily needs (that used to be part of their comfort zone)and, with the loss of life that they are contending with, then we can get through too. Having a bad phase can often be looked at out of perspective. What it really means is not quite that mountain that we are seeing in front of us. We need to just focus on getting through the day, and before you know it, we have. In fact we have gotten through another and another and suddenly we've been able to get through the whole week. That's really all there is to it.I know it's simplistic, but that really is where it's at.
What now?
'Getting through another week doesn't achieve anything!' I hear you say. But it does. Because we never know when our opportunity is going to come up. We never know when things are going to get better. We never know where our chances are going to come from or when. It could be tomorrow.All we have to do then, is make it to tomorrow.
